It is a good idea to carry a business card size laminated copy of the main page of your passport. The Thai law requires that foreigners should carry their passport on their person at all times. Like a lot of laws and rules in LOS* this is not seriously implemented. Keep your passport and other valuables safely locked in a safe deposit box at your hotel.
