Pattaya Land Transport Office Map and Directions

The Department of Land Transport is quite a distance from the city center. It's about 12 to 14 km by road depending what part of Pattaya you are starting you journey from. It is also a little tricky to find.

One would go there to register a vehicle or apply for a Thai driver license.

Here are some directions and a map to help you find your way to the Pattaya Land Transport Office. You can follow on the Google map if you have the app on your phone.

I hope the following makes it easy for you to get to the Land Transport Office

These directions begin at the intersection of Central Pattaya Road and Third Road (Chaloem Phrakiat) and travel toward Sukhumvit Road.

Google maps understands this starting address as "Thanon Pattaya Klang, Muang Pattaya, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chang Wat Chon Buri 20150, Thailand".

The trip by car should take around 20 minutes provided there is no traffic jam.

Getting There

Travel 900 meters to Sukhumvit Road and tern left onto Route 3.

Travel 1.2km and take a slight right onto the Route 7 ramp to Bangkok.

Continue for 7.8 km straight to stay on ชลบุรี-พัทยา/ทางหลวงพิเศษหมายเลข 7 (signs for Route 7/Bangkok)

Take the exit toward Bang Lamung after about 1.5km you will be on Route 3. Travel a further 300 meters along Route 3 and you will come to the entry road on your left. This is a restricted usage road but there is only about another 400 meters to travel.

Travel along that road for about 350 meters and you will come to the Land Transport Office on your right.

To Pattaya Land Transport From the Opposite Direction

If you are staying in the Na Kluea to Nong Ket Yai area and you are traveling by bike or car drive along Sukumvit Road bound for Bangkok until you reach the Route 36 Overpass Bridge.

This is a three lane concrete overpass bridge about 800 meters long on Sukhumvit Road and 6 kms from Pattaya Glahang / Sukhumvit traffic lights.

Turn right under the bridge and head for Rayong. From the bridge travel about 6 more km and then you will need to do a U turn to place you on the opposite side of the Hi - Way but not on the service road.

Now here is where it gets a bit tricky. There are three U turns before this one and these three are sign posted. At the time of writing the U turn you should take is not sign posted and can easily be missed. So keep your watchful eye on the right for this U turn.

After executing your U turn travel back down that hi-way about 1km and on your left you will notice a white sign with black writing " The Eastern Verification Center (Chonburi) " then a blue sign with white writing "Chonburi Provincial Land Transport Office".

Turn left about 20 meters after the blue sign and follow the cement road for about 0.5 km and you will reach the Department of Land Transport a white two story building on the right. It is behind The Regents International School.
